How does an Olympic athlete build a better life?
Heena Sidhu lets us into her palatial Pune home at Lodha Belmondo
Heena Sidhu is that overachieving friend in the group that our parents would have loved for us to spend time with so that some of her enterprising spirit rubbed off on us. While some of us were scrambling to meet deadlines and festering in goblin mode during the lockdown, this Lodha Belmondo resident did a course in interior design and crafted her Pune villa into a photoshoot-worthy oasis.
It’s not the only win under her belt. The qualified dental surgeon has won medals as a pistol shooter, representing the country at the Commonwealth games, Asian games and Asian championships.
In Better Life with Lodha, we go behind the scenes into the private worlds of accomplished women whose every day might look different from ours and each others’ but who are united by their need for a space to call their own.

In this episode, Sidhu talks about how her home at Lodha Belmondo – one of the world’s finest developments by Lodha, helps her balance it all, turning into an oasis of tranquillity where you can escape the outside world. “We actually moved here from the city for some peace. After a day at the shooting range, I’m tired, I want to go back home and my home becomes my sanctuary.”
The world-class design, finest services and security facilities of Lodha Belmondo have enabled her to manifest her dream life, especially as a mom to a bubbly toddler and a four-legged fur baby amidst a great community and open, lush greenery. “I love walking my dog along the jetty. There’s the river on one side and a beautiful golf course view on the other. It’s amazing how many hidden places there are on this property for us to enjoy.”
And according to Sidhu, it’s the time we spend surrounded by friends and family that helps us build a better life. That could be hosting parties with her husband and creating signature drinks for their guests. “We have a little notebook where we put down the recipes of our experiments and give them funny names.” Or soaking up the sun with her babies on the private lawn on a warm day with a gently blowing breeze, daydreaming while gazing out the window at the beautiful view of a sprawling golf course or just dancing around the house like no one is watching. We could all do well with a little shimmy to decompress after a hectic day.
