Konkona Sensharma is quite the prankster
The actor reveals her wicked sense of humour
Love them, or hate them — we definitely can’t live without them. Parents, I mean. From wondering what planet our alien parents came from, to empathising with them once we’ve grown up and raised adorable little monsters of our own, the journey is a wild ride. That most often includes parenting fails with kids being scarred or children taking the mickey out of their hapless parents. Turns out Konkona Sensharma dreams of doing both.
We’re all familiar with Konkona Sensharma’s body of work. She is, after all, an award-winning actor, director and writer. What we at Tweak didn’t know was that the actor has a wicked sense of humour and can multitask like a pro.
In this episode of Tweak Multitasker, she takes on the challenge of making a sandwich using one hand — not only does she ace the task, she declares herself a great multitasker and she gives us plenty of answers to chew on.
When asked what insect she would like to be reincarnated as, she decides to go with a spider because her mother Aparna Sen has arachnophobia and she feels like frightening her would be ‘fun’. Even her son doesn’t get off easy. A dream scenario she shares with us involves her barging into her son’s room at night, when he’s a teenager and rousing him from a deep sleep at 2 am, ‘just’ — because Haroon gave her many sleepless nights when he was a baby.
Watch her video to find out what three things she thinks are better than sex, what keeps her up at night and lots more (including her favourite kind of sandwich).
Answer: It’s a brown bread, peanut-butter and Nutella sandwich and in the actor’s own words, ‘it is divine’
