The emotional moment this genius Mumbai rickshawalla met his Bollywood idols
It’s equipped with a window garden, washbasin and a desktop monitor
In Mumbai, finding an auto wale bhaiya during rush hour who accepts you without a fuss is a karmic blessing.
Congratulations, you were clearly a firefighter who rescued puppies from burning buildings in your last life.
But imagine finding a rickshaw packed with the kind of luxurious amenities usually reserved for private jets.
Like a working washbasin complete with liquid soap and a mirror for you to freshen up before jumping into that board meeting.
And potted plants that could trick your brain into feeling one with nature while racing through the concrete jungle. You don’t have to imagine any more, this could be your ride tomorrow, courtesy Satyavan Gite’s ‘chakachak Mumbai’ rickshaw.
He calls it ‘Mumbai’s First Home System Rickshaw: Take Airplane Ride Experience.’
Earlier this year, actor Akshay Kumar spotted a similar effort and had written about it on his Instagram.
He captioned it: “A little bit of green to take away your blues ?. Came across this pleasant sight of an auto-rickshaw covered with plants on the way to shoot today. Extremely proud of him and his efforts to go green in his own little way. #GreenWorld”

It’s been a couple of months since that spotting, and last evening, Gite had his star-struck moment.
His chance encounter with the Bollywood couple reduced him to tears of joy. Gite was at a loss of words when they asked him for a short ride too in his three-wheeler.
Well, as they say, Mumbai is the city of dreams, and yesterday we saw one come true.
