Twinkle Khanna reveals her new favourite corner at home
Plus, Roshni Chopra, Natasha Luthra and the founders of Quirk Studio show us how they script their space
A sun-drenched writer’s nook on a sea-facing balcony— that’s ambrosia for the creative soul. You can daydream as you gaze out on the Arabian Sea, sipping on your favourite cold brew or guzzling down cups of masala chai to keep those brain wheels turning. These moments of peace in those carefully crafted corners help you forge a deep connection with your home, which translates into one of the most meaningful relationships of our lives.
To illustrate this bond, we invited Twinkle Khanna to celebrate Valentine’s Day by giving herself the gift of a special space in her home. “No writer’s nook is complete without a desk, so I had fun setting up the Script Float study table in my favourite spot on the balcony,” she says, adding. “I love how it enhances the space and allows me to have everything I need within arm’s reach.”
With a fluid design, the study table blends seamlessly into your personal space. Its name refers to the unique ‘floating storage’, where you can stock your gadgets, stationery and secret stash of makhana so your work area remains tidy.
While Khanna hopes her new nook will improve her work life, the team at Quirk Studio dreamed of a set-up to unwind from a hectic work week.
Interior designer Disha Bhavsar and Shivani Ajmera took cues from the Script Concord table to celebrate Valentine’s Day, or “as we like to call it, Galentine’s Day”. Loaded with board games, cocktails and beautiful accessories, the talented duo called it the perfect rejuvenation station, adding, “Expansive enough to fit snacks, cocktails and our favourite board games, we love the concealed storage where we can neatly fit our sketchbooks and magazines.”
Most working women agree on the need to have a cocoon they can retreat to, where they can hit the refresh button. When we asked actor Roshni Chopra and social media influencer Natasha Luthra to show us what their special space to celebrate Valentine’s Day would look like, they came up with unique, ethereal ideas that immediately went on our #dreamhome moodboards.
Chopra fell hard for the Script Big Mush Pouf 2.0, soft enough to sink into and big enough to serve you for an afternoon nap. She set it up in her coffee corner in her verandah, teamed with a rug and cushions. “The neutral play of the pouffe matched with the texture of the rug and comfy cushions instantly made my space feel so tranquil yet luxe,” she adds. Her design proved irresistible to the family, and soon her kids joined in the fun.
A self-confessed beauty addict, Luthra set up a pampering session under the warm glow of a Script Alpine floor lamp. “This geometric patterned rug, bright orange cushions and the highlight — the Alpine floor lamp — works like a charm in any space of the home,” she says.
These ingenious designs have sparked the decorating itch, and inspired us to create our own love corners. So how do you Script your space?
