The 4-minute workout that Radhika Madan swears by
Say hello to Tabata
A four-minute workout that jolts your body into action seems as far-fetched as being able to eat what you like and not put on any weight. But according to actor Radhika Madan, working out on a busy day is possible — she walks around a room for 45 minutes (on an empty stomach) and squeezes in a set of ‘tabata’ which lasts for all of four minutes.
Tabata, is a form of high intensity interval training and a session of the four-minute workout includes: 20 seconds of a very high intensity exercise (burpees, jumping jacks etc.), 10 seconds of rest, repeat 8 times for a total of 4 minutes.
In addition to tabata, the actor shows us the yoga moves she’s a pro at and takes us through her fitness regimen — from the number of cheat days she takes in a month (four, one each week), to the healthy treats she enjoys snacking on (makhana).
Don’t be fooled by the fit body and insane workout goals, the Delhi girl is a foodie at heart, a foodie, who just like us loves everything from milk cakes, mithai, jalebi with rabdi and lots more.
She’s living proof that you can work out anywhere, and everywhere — even on your busiest of days.
And that if you work(out) hard, you can cheat to your heart’s content.
