18 body-positive health experts who will help you love yourself
Forget about size zero, these fitness trainers and nutritionists will transform you into a health hero
My school’s annual health checkup was one of the most dreaded days of my life. Getting on the scale in front of my classmates and having them see how much I weighed was a shame spiral — What will my crush think? My guy best friend will surely make jokes about this. The cool, petite girls will stare and whisper. The weighing scale quickly became my sworn enemy. It didn’t help that over the years, the needle kept moving to the right with no intention of taking a U-turn.
My weighing scale and I went from enemies to friends only years later, when I finally found a fitness trainer and nutritionist who assessed my health beyond just my weight. They helped me set achievable goals, keeping in mind my body type, genetics and my ability to sustain it.
Body image directly impacts overall health and weight, emphasising the need for guides who prioritise holistic well-being without criticism. So we asked the Tweak tribe to recommend body-positive fitness trainers and nutritionists who focus on a can-do attitude. No matter what your goal is — break through a weight loss plateau, come back in shape postpartum, heal your gut or train for a marathon, these non-judgemental health experts will help you hit the bull’s eye.
