A 5 minute facial you can literally do in your office bathroom
All you need is 5 minutes to give your skin some much needed TLC
It takes an entire Sunday afternoon to pull off a full-fledged Korean beauty routine at home. Squeezing in a professional facial means sitting through 30 minutes of traffic, on a good day. It only takes one second to decide to spend your day in bed instead (while replying to e-mails, of course).
No one really has the time to give their skin the much needed TLC it requires. An oily T-zone is not really a priority when there are other more slippery slopes to deal with. So, how does one manage to look radiant and “flawless” as they juggle work, home, and the unopened stack of mail that seems to have swallowed your dining table? You give yourself a DIY five-minute facial.
Through our video series — 5 Minute Facials we try to make skincare as convenient, and quick as possible. The only two things you need are basic ingredients from your kitchen cabinet and all of five minutes.
This video shows you how to whip up a face pack to reduce acne scars and dark spots that’s going to take just, you guessed it, five minutes. The pack also helps exfoliate and reduce puffiness, from all those long days at work and long nights of dreaming about schedules.
Ingredients
2 tbsp rice flour
2 tbsp aloe vera gel
2 tbsp honey
Application
- Combine all ingredients to form a thick paste.
- Apply it evenly on your face, and rub it all over in a circular motion to help with exfoliation. Don’t apply too much pressure while exfoliating as it might lead to micro-tears in your skin.
- Allow the pack to dry for three to four minutes.
- Once dry, wash it off with cold water.
For visible results, use the pack (once a week) for about one month.
