This is the best high-end concealer according to Tweak readers
The Tweak tribe has got your back
In a market flooded with the extremity of Mumbai in monsoon, trying to figure out which bougie makeup products are worth the bucks usually comes with disappointments. Stepping into the world of luxury or high-end makeup products is like taking a safari through the Sunderbans of cosmetics, where each product is a majestic creature, alluring and potentially wallet-wrecking. You’re hunting in this overgrown, lush jungle for the perfect blush that will spread across your skin like butter on a garam bun, have a sheer finish, and last all day without breaking down. It can be an elusive creature when you don’t have the luxury of trial and error.
And there’s no greater disappointment than spending your hard-earned money on a luxury brand’s concealer only to realise that the shade doesn’t match and it makes your under-eye area crease faster than linen pants.
Staring down the pots of blushes and tints promising futures brighter than Bappi Da’s bling can be overwhelming. In our expedition across this perilous terrain, we found some gems that lived up to the hype, while others were duds we’ve been trying to unload on every cousin who comes to visit.
This time, we turned to the makeup lovers of the Tweak tribe to get their recommendations of high-end makeup products worth buying and which to avoid, like a chipkali in the corner of your bathroom.
Brace yourself and your wallet.
14 high-end makeup products worth buying, according to the Tweak tribe

Magic Touch Concealer (₹3,200) and Brow Freeze (₹2,990) by Anastasia Beverly Hills
As a brand, Anastasia Beverly Hills (ABH) is synonymous with brow perfection, so it’s no surprise that their Brow Freeze has a devout following, including reader Shrutie Kher. With this clear wax-like formula, you can achieve that sleek, brushed-up and held-in-place fluffy brow look right at home.
But their brow pomade and pencils aren’t the only high-end makeup products worth buying from ABH, as Kher also recommends we try the Magic Touch Concealer as well. A lightweight concealer that goes on like second skin, giving a luminous finish that doesn’t leave your skin feeling heavy, sticky or dry if you layer it.

Éternité de Beauté Foundation (₹5,800 approx.) by Gucci
Baisakhi Bhattacharya recommends the Gucci Foundation for high-end makeup products worth buying. Gucci has had a number of hits when it comes to foundation among consumers and professional makeup artists alike. If you’re chasing that glowy, no-makeup-makeup look, you’ll want to add this latest one to your kitty.
With skin tints flooding the market and sheer foundations taking centre stage, people with mature or acne-prone skin often feel left behind with products that don’t match their skin type. With this foundation, that won’t be an issue. You’ll get that same natural radiance even if you layer without anything settling into creases and folds.

Relief Sun : Rice + Probiotics (₹1,550) and Matte Sun Stick : Mugwort+Camelia (₹1,390) by Beauty of Joseon
Reader Mehezabin Dordi and thousands of users worldwide love the Beauty of Joseon’s sunscreens. Namely, the Relief Sun: Rice + Probiotics sunscreen. A lightweight formula that gives fantastic protection from harmful UV rays packed with skin-loving ingredients like rice extract and probiotics. It doesn’t leave any white cast, making it brown-skin friendly and giving you a light, dewy finish. Works great under makeup and doesn’t pill, too.
However, for people with oily skin, we’d suggest you try their convenient-to-use and travel-friendly sunscreen stick, which has a mattifying finish. Calming centella asiatica and mugwort are also great for people with reactive and sensitive skin. A sun stick is a quick and easy way to reapply sunscreen when you’re out and about.

Hollywood Flawless Filter (₹4,000) by Charlotte Tilbury
Honestly, Charlotte Tilbury has a lot of high-end makeup products worthy of buying, but if it’s one product that’s captured the world’s (and Fancypantsofficial’s) attention most recently, it’s the Flawless Filter.
A little bit of this product goes a long way and makes it look like you’re glowing from within. It works great under foundation for a glowy, dewy finish and is great for a no-makeup makeup day.

Luminous Silk Foundation (₹5,800) by Giorgio Armani
Nisha is full of praises for the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation, and makeup artists back her up. It’s a cult favourite for a reason.
A lightweight formula that melts into your skin with a satin finish that’s not too dewy or mattifying in the finish.
Start with a little for a light, no-makeup makeup look, or layer it easily for higher coverage. You can use this product in many ways, and it will last you a long time.

Mothership V: Bronze Seduction Eyeshadow Palette (₹10,290) by PAT McGRATH LABS
There are many brands that Neeti Bhat spoke of, but the one product we can also back up with full confidence is Pat McGrath’s eyeshadow palettes.
Pat McGrath, the makeup goddess herself, blessed us with palettes that are pots of pure magic. Colours that pop like confetti at a parade, and they stick around all night. The texture is buttery and blendable; you’ll feel like an artist with a brand-new set of paints.
Known for their innovative colour stories, they’re also cruelty-free.

Les Beiges Eau De Teint Water Fresh Tint (₹5,800 approx.) by Chanel
The most fascinating thing about this Chanel product is that the clear cylindrical bottle lets you see the unique product texture inside. This one comes from a Tweak reader that goes by rc132021.
The texture is like a watery gel with pigment pearls that break and give you colour and coverage. Speaking of coverage, it’s a sheer finish with buildability, evening out your skin tone with ease.

Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation (₹3,300) by MAC Cosmetics and Skin Foundation Stick (₹5,550) by Bobbi Brown
Kalpana Mishra’s recommendations contain two high-end makeup products worth buying, both of which help you achieve a flawless base.
The MAC Studio Fix compact is another cult product and many people’s first tryst with powder foundations (possibly because everyone’s foundation references come from MAC numbers). It’s great for people with oily skin. You can use it as a top-up throughout the day, to set your under-eye area or entire face on top of a cream product or use it alone.
For the drier skin folks, Mishra’s second recommendation will work better. The Bobbi Brown foundation stick has a loyal following for its creamy, easy-to-bend and buildable formula. You get a seamless finish and are the one in control of how much coverage you get. Some people use it as a concealer, others use it to highlight their under eyes, and some even use a cool-toned dark shade for contouring. The stick form makes it travel-friendly and mess-free.

Natasha Denona eyeshadow palettes: Biba (₹12,700) and Retro (₹7,100)
Natasha Denona’s eyeshadow palettes need no introduction, and Reshma Rai’s recommendations include the palettes Biba, Glam and Retro, in particular.
The texture is the highlight of these eyeshadows. They are known for their smooth, blendable consistency, which makes them a dream to work with. These eyeshadows seamlessly fuse together, making it easy for even makeup beginners to achieve a professional-looking eye look at home.
Matte, metallic, and shimmers, there will be atleast one eyeshadow palette that calls out to you.

Icon Velvet Matte Liquid Lipstick (₹3,400 approx.) by Fenty Beauty
Is there anything queen RiRi can’t do? Maybe releasing a new album, but nothing tops it when it comes to her beauty brands’ lip products. Nuha Iftekhar recommends the Fenty Beauty velvet matte lipsticks, and you have some stunning shades to choose from.
The texture is almost like whipped cream with an intense colour payoff. You don’t need more than one swipe of colour to get full coverage (especially if you have pigmented lips). It’s a soft matte finish, so to speak, so it’s not transfer-proof. That also means that it doesn’t dry up your lips or settle in any dry patches, lines or cracks.

Lipsticks by Bobbi Brown
Bobbi Brown lipsticks, coming from reader Annapurna Venkatesh, have been a staple in beauty since before beauty gurus became a thing. Given their wide range of lipsticks, from nudes to reds and berries, various textures and finishes, it’s not possible for you to walk into a Bobbi Brown store and not find a lipstick to fall in love with.
The Crushed Lip Colour (₹2,200) range is a Tweak favourite, coming in various colours and a satin-matte finish that feels more like a nourishing lip balm than a lipstick with plenty of pigment.
A note of caution: These products have been recommended by our readers. Some brands/products aren’t available to purchase in India and would require you to order from international websites. Please check their shipping policies and customs charges or tax.
