Radhika Madan wants to be a spider in her next life
The actor kick-boxes her way through Tweak Multitasker
Radhika Madan went from being a very convincing susheel Indian bahu on primetime television to being a feisty village gunda in Vishal Bhardwaj’s Pataakha, and ultimately, an action heroine effortlessly delivering slow-motion action sequences in Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota.
But would you believe us if we told you that this smart-talking, wise-cracking kickboxing pro will jump on top of the table at the mere mention of spiders? It’s true. When asked what insect she’d want to be reincarnated as, the otherwise fearless Radhika Madan said (and you probably guessed it), spiders. Why turn into something you’re terrified of? “When I was a kid and squealed at the sight of spiders, my parents used to tell me that the little creature was probably more afraid of me than I was of it. So, I want to check,” she quips animatedly, while pulverising a hapless punching bags to bits.
Apart from the teeny tiny issue of being terrorised by arachnids, Madan is a masterclass in self-confidence. The secret to her glowing skin? A blinding belief in her own awesomeness, without a trace of starry tantrums that you might otherwise expect to encounter in a movie star. It’s kind of hard not to feel inspired…
From advice on dealing with bad breakups and spiders, to unleashing her deadliest weapon – cheesy Bollywood dialogues – the second episode of Tweak Multitasker brought out a side of Radhika Madan you’ve never seen before.
