Tahira Kashyap Khurrana will infect you with her happiness virus
Watch her take on the Tweak Multitasker
We tend to curse at the traffic like it’s the universe taking out its personal vendetta on us, deem a day ‘shitty’ if we end up late at work, spill breakfast on our shirts or have even a 2-minute long altercation with the spouse. It’s getting easier and easier for us to find things to complain about, just as social media reminds us to acknowledge the 100 tiny ways in which we are in fact, #blessed.
Tahira Kashyap Khurrana, author, filmmaker and the human form of the unicorn emoji, on the other hand, strong believes in the goodness of humanity and of life itself, as we can see through her instagram posts and generally bouncy demeanour. The breast cancer survivor has had her share of difficulties, and somehow she’s emerged a shiny, happy reservoir of strength and resilience.
It seemed only fitting that she should be tasked with bedazzling (in this case, a pair of white shoes) for her episode of Tweak Multitasker. As she attempts to create a pair that’s not “too bad considering you’re distracting me with all these questions”, watch her admit she’d like to be a ladybug if she were an insect (“When a ladybug perches on us, we make a wish – it gives us hope, and I want to give hope to everyone.”) to discussing how she draws strength and security from her faith — Nichiren Buddhism, and revealing her greatest weapon (“my crazy hair right now —if you put your hand in there, aate ho apni marzi se, jaate ho meri marzi se, it’s very lethal”). You may also find out that she thinks is better than great sex.
If you’re in need of a little sunshine in your pocket, turn to Tahira Kashyap Khurrana for the right way to do it.
