How does Sobhita Dhulipala's skin always look so good?
Her dewy glow is what dermatologists’ dreams are made of
Skincare is very personal. Our skincare needs are as diverse as the number of regional dals in this country. And when your job involves harsh lights, daily layers of makeup and being in front of the camera, it throws your skin’s health out of whack.
Sobhita Dhulipala understands this well. The fresh-faced actor admits she prefers to leave her skin almost bare when she’s not working, and stays away from trying too many makeup tricks at once — a rookie mistake — saying, “I want to look like an enhanced version of myself, I don’t want to look like anybody else.”
When we caught up with her at the launch of Smashbox India’s Always On Liquid Lipstick shade Gula-Bae, we couldn’t help but prod her for tips on achieving that healthy glow.
From homely hacks (her mother recommended applying almond oil in the under-eye region to get rid of dark circles) to the right kind of investments – Sobhita Dhulipala is all about multi-tasking. She suggests getting the most out of a product by using it in more than one way.
The difficulty of finding a shade of nude lipstick that works for your skin tone is a struggle anyone with more than a teaspoon of melanin can relate you. More so if you have hyperpigmentation.
Once you do, you can dilute the lipstick and use it as a light cheek tint and even on your eyelids for a pop of colour through the day. An easy beauty hack, especially if you’re transitioning from a ‘Monday meeting in the office’ look to a movie night with your girlfriends.
Skin and hair care for the Made in Heaven actor is about more than just the way you look but how you feel on the inside.
