Ujjwala Raut is the self-confidence icon we need today
The supermodel’s greatest weapon is ‘Me, Myself and I’
There’s a reason #selflove has monopolised the internet — at least for the cities in our country that still have it. We tend to heap praise on our friends and family, but the amount we critique ourselves is likely more than the enduring love Donald Trump has for himself. Not Ujjwala Raut, though.
The OG supermodel, and judge on MTV show Supermodel of the Year 2019 crowns herself her own greatest weapon. And that is the BDE we’d like to start the new year with.
Watch her juggle her way through the Tweak Multitasker and reveal that she’s had a near-death experiences — “Travelling in Mumbai Railways when I was young, while going to college. I felt I was going to fall out of the train, once or twice.”
And you thought you couldn’t possibly have anything in common with a supermodel.
When asked if she had a question for God, the wise Raut shares a lesson that we should all make note of. She responded, “I’m quite a satisfied person. I’m someone who understands things but I don’t feel the need to reason all the time. Maybe sometimes things are just meant to be the way they are — not everything is supposed to be explained or known.”
If only we could remember that when we were stuck in traffic, rueing the day we decided to live in the big city rather than a quiet little village.
Watch the video to find out why Ujjwala Raut is the self-love icon we’d like to channel as we go into the new decade.
