Twinkle Khanna is asking #WhatsInYourKidsDabba?
Joining in the viral challenge are Shefali Shah, Namrata Shirodkar and more
Coming up with innovative ideas for your kid’s dabba can feel like conquering your personal Everest. The food needs to be nutritious, taste good, and even look good for them to be willing to consume it. And unlike making it to the peak, deciding what goes in the dabba, or on the plate, is pretty much a 24/7, 365 days a year-job until they’re old enough to feed themselves. (Which in my case, still hasn’t happened. and I’m 30. Sorry, mom). Inspired by the success of our OG #Whatsinyourdabba challenge, and to help you avoid running out of ideas, (and patience) we asked our favourite celebrities — #WhatsInYourKidsdabba ?
As kids, we liked nothing more than peeking into our desk neighbour’s dabba to find out whether it was something worth trading in our gobi aloo for, or whether mommy indeed knew best when she cheered us up on Monday with pink pasta.
Kicking off the #WhatsInYourKidsDabba movement, Tweak India founder Twinkle Khanna shared her go-to recipe for keeping her kids well-fed, and entertained, in her favourite tea-shirt. Because your love for cutting chai is worth sharing with the world.
Veteran actor and mom of two, Shefali Shah has a little trick for your kids, with her Cream of ‘Fool your Kids’ soup that allows you to add whatever vegetables you’d like for them to consume, without them finding out.
Swayampurna Mishra aka La Petit Chef, and author of My Indian Kitchen, has a sugary treat for the little monsters — homemade cinnamon rolls with a cream cheese maple syrup frosting.
Namrata Shirodkar has your kid’s Indian food cravings covered with her recipe for non-greasy and yummy Bhendi poriyal.
