Did you know that Mrunal Thakur had a near-death experience?
But her father didn’t react the way he should have
She dabbled with modelling and played protagonist in Marathi films, but it was a primetime television show – Kumkum Bhagya – that propelled Mrunal Thakur to national fame. Thereafter, Thakur broke away from the television actor blueprint, and made everyone sit up and take notice when she starred in Love Sonia. The film shows Thakur caught in the midst of a human trafficking scandal, a role that was as different as could be from her portrayal as a demure Indian girl in Kumkum Bhagya.
With her recent releases – the biographical Super 30 and thriller Batla House – it seems like there is very little Mrunal Thakur can’t pull off.
If you think Thakur’s meteoric rise has been fast paced, then you have to watch her drape a sari – the actor definitely knows her way around the nine yards. In fact, her excellent sari draping skills helped her try not one but three styles before we could get through the entire Tweak Multitasker challenge, all too effortlessly while giving us a sneak peek into her life behind the scenes.
Mrunal at her candid best showed us a side of her we’ve never seen before. From her near death experience and her father’s bizarre response to her “I might die” phone call to how she would gladly trade lives with an ant in a mithai ka dabba – this Tweak Multitasker is one you can’t miss.
